And it is this paradox of choice that often keeps us stuck.
Living a healthy lifestyle is not one-size fits all. There is no right answer that works for every single person. For example, I am a dietitian and I loathe vegetables (it’s true, I can’t stand eating salads). But I also know the nutritional values and benefits associated with eating vegetables, which created a dilemma for me.
Through my background, research and experience, I’ve come to realize that I don’t need to enjoy eating vegetables to get the nutrients that my body needs. I’ve learned how to sneak in vegetables in most of my meals, without feeling like I’m eating a salad, and I’ve learned to make juices and smoothies that provide me with the best nutritional values. Most importantly, I’ve found a plan that works for me and leads me to live a healthy and happy lifestyle.
But let me tell you, health doesn’t just happen.
First by intention, followed by actions.
Those actions, with structure, become habits.
And those habit, with time, create sustainable lifestyle change.
